Unwilling to brave the crowds at the hotel bar, we wandered out in search of dinner after arriving in San Francisco. Of the places listed in our guidebook, Farmerbrown was close and sounded interesting, even if I want to scream when restaurants in the centre of large cities spout shit about "locally sourced". I'd rather eat food from somewhere far away and not polluted.
The greeter advised that there was a wait of around 30 minutes for a table, but there was space to wait in the bar. Well within the half-hour, we were escorted to seats in the busy restaurant.
There's not a great deal more to say - the food was tasty, came in ludicrous quantities and was served by polite and efficient people. There's no reason I wouldn't return if I happened to be in the area again.
